3 ways we’re striving to reduce, reuse and recycle waste
From helping you recycle plastic, to using more recycled materials in our packaging, discover three ways we’re trying to reduce, reuse and recycle waste, so you can care for more than your skin.
Zero waste to landfill
At Dove Men+Care, we’re proud to have zero manufacturing waste going to landfill. During production, our factories also ensure waste is used as productively as possible. Cardboard boxes transporting raw materials, for example, are sold to recycling companies to ensure they’re reused.
Recycled plastic bottles + aluminum cans
As part of our commitment to help minimize waste and make all our plastic packaging reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025, the bottles of our body, face and hair washes are recyclable and made with 100% recycled plastic in North America and Europe (where technically possible).*
This means less greenhouse gases are being produced, which of course is better for the environment.
Making recycling more accessible
We want to help make recycling easy and accessible for everybody. In the US, we support the Closed Loop Fund, which works to ensure customers, recyclers, businesses and governments can all strive to be great examples of circular economy.
In Europe, we work alongside organizations like Ceflex to develop better services to collect, sort and reprocess recyclable packaging to reduce waste.
And in the UK, we’ve partnered with Alupro to increase awareness for people recycling their cans. This will help boost the number of local authorities who accept cans for recycling.

*There are only a few exceptions within the whole portfolio that are not fully 100% recycled bottles but still present a very high percentage in certain specific markets, and the plan is to achieve 100% very soon.
