Download our free teacher toolkit, run one of our Confident Me workshops and help boost self-esteem in young people today.
45-60 minutes is all it takes to run a workshop and boost the body confidence of your class. Aimed at 11-14 year olds, our downloadable pack has everything you need to run a one-off body confidence workshop (teacher guide, presentation slides, activity sheets and short videos).
Exploring everything from media influence to peer pressure and promoting positive body image, you’ll have the opportunity to host small group activities and create class discussions.
The workshop has been specially developed by Dove Self-Esteem Project partner, the Center for Appearance Research – the world’s largest research group focusing on the role of appearance and body image in people's lives. The session has been proven to help young people:
- Identify personal strengths
- Improve emotional, social and physical wellbeing
- Learn about the impact of social media on on body image
- Recognize unrealistic beauty standards in the media
Research shows that students who participate in our Confident Me workshops experience improved self-esteem, have a more positive self-image, and feel more confident to participate in social and academic activities. For deeper engagement and a longer-lasting impact on students’ body image and self-esteem, we recommend our five-session workshop.
