1 in 4 girls aged 4-6 years dislike something about their appearance
With children as young as four starting to become aware of how they feel about their body, there is a clear need for more body image interventions that foster a strong foundation in body confidence at an early age. That’s why the Dove Self-Esteem Project is extending its body confidence education tools to address kids as young as 4 for the first time.
Introducing
The Blippi's Wonderful Talent Show
The Dove Self-Esteem Project and Blippi, in collaboration with body image experts at the Centre for Appearance Research, have created The Blippi's Wonderful Talent Show, an upbeat and interactive set of edutainment videos aimed at building the body confidence and self-esteem within kids 4 years and older.
Families can tune-in and watch the first ever body confidence Blippi movie on Amazon and Netflix, and a set of episodes on Blippi's YouTube channels to dance with Blippi, Meekah and their friends while learning how to appreciate all the amazing things your body allows you to do: Dance! Invent! Create magic!
Very easy for children to feel negative about themselves and their bodies. It's nice for them to watch something that reminds them they are amazing
