Danya & Maria, Students
Like most young girls, Danya and Maria enjoy school, sports and spending time with their friends and family. Both have also learned a lot more about their body confidence and self-esteem after completing a Dove Self Esteem workshop at school.
For Danya and Maria and many other girls around the globe the drop in confidence often happens during the crucial years as they go from girl to teen. To help address this, Dove established the Dove Self-Esteem Project (DSEP) in 2004 as a way to help young women make sense of appearance ideals, deal with common beauty pressures and develop ways to proactively boost self-confidence.
As the two of programme’s most recent graduates, Danya and Maria are now better equipped with the confidence to stand up to beauty pressures and embrace what makes both of them unique and ‘real.’
