As Early As Five

Race-based hair discrimination starts early

Hair discrimination against Black natural hair can start as early as five – and last a lifetime. It’s time to change this and increase confidence in kids with curls, coils, waves and protective styles.

The CROWN Act has been signed in

states to date. We won't stop until it's passed nationwide.

Biases continue to perpetuate unfair scrutiny and discrimination against Black women and girls for wearing hairstyles inherent to our culture. This is unacceptable and why it is imperative that everyone join the movement to make hair discrimination illegal nationwide through the passage of The CROWN Act"
