“Long-lasting hydration or your money back!” (the “Promotion”)
Terms and Conditions
1. “Long-lasting hydration”, by definition, requires the product to sufficiently maintain skin moisture for at least 8 hours after application and between bathing sessions in typical daily circumstances. Dove Body Cream must effectively preserve skin moisture levels throughout the specified duration, excluding common environmental conditions or activities that may typically lead to dryness. Consistent daily usage is necessary for optimal results after the initial application.
2. By participating in the Promotion, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions, and any other published materials, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
3. The Promoter is Unilever South Africa (Pty) Ltd of 15 Nollsworth Crescent, Nollsworth Park, La Lucia, 4051 (the “Promoter”).
4. This Promotion is open to all South African residents, over the age of 18 years in possession of a valid identity document who purchase a Dove Body Cream (“Eligible Participants) in any Clicks or Dischem store in South Africa (the “Participating Store(s)”) between 1 May 2024 and 31 October 2024 (the “Promotion Period”).
5. This Promotion is only open to individuals and is not available to businesses, commercial operations, corporations, enterprises, partnerships or any other similar or like entity.
6. The Promotion applies to the following Dove Body Cream products marketed by the Promoter (each, a “Participating Product”): Dove Rich Care Body Cream 400ml, Dove Intense Care Body Cream 400ml, Dove Even Glow Body Cream 400ml, Dove Firming Care Body Cream 400ml, Dove Men + Care Extra Cool Body Cream 400ml, Dove Men + Care Energising Body Cream 400ml & Dove Men + Care Hydrating Body Cream 400ml.
7. Refund requests under this Promotion must be initiated by the original purchaser who made the purchase from a Participating Store. Eligible Participants will be required to present valid proof of purchase of a Participating Product, such as an in-store receipt or online order confirmation as part of the claim.
8. Only one refund request per Eligible Participant will be considered during the Promotion Period.
9. To be considered under this Promotion, the Eligible Participant must submit the refund request no earlier than 14 days, and no later than 30 days of purchase of the Participating Product.
10. To initiate a request for a refund, an Eligible Participant must contact the Promoter’s Customer Care Contact Number (0860 572 861) and follow the instructions given. The Promoter reserves its right to request additional information or documentation to verify or validate refund requests submitted, or any part thereof, including proof that the Participating Product has been used according to the instructions provided on pack.
11. The Promoter will reimburse the Eligible Participant directly once the refund process has been completed and requested information submitted. Refunds under this Promotion will be managed through the Promoter’s Customer Care Centre and not through the Participating Stores.
12. Refunds will be made by way of electronic transfer into a valid bank account, held in South Africa, for the exact purchase price of the Participating Product (or the discounted price if any coupons/discounts have been applied). Applicable VAT will also be refunded. Delivery fees, if any, will not be refunded.
13. This Promotion is only applicable to Participating Products purchased from the Participating Stores. Purchases of the Participating Products made from any other stores will not be considered.
14. This Promotion and these Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes arising from it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to modify or terminate this Promotion at any time, with or without prior notice.
16. The Participating Products contain certain ingredients that may cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Customers with known allergies or sensitivities to specific ingredients should carefully review the product's ingredient list before use. It is recommended that a patch test be performed before applying the product to a larger area of the body. If an allergic reaction occurs, customers should discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice. The Promoter shall not be liable for any adverse reactions resulting from the use of the Participating Products under such circumstances. Avoid contact with eyes and keep out of reach of children.
17. Limited liability also extends to situations where the Participating Product is misused or used in unintended ways, for example, if the product is applied to damaged or broken skin contrary to usage instructions, in which case neither the Promoter nor the Participating Stores shall be liable for any resulting adverse effects.
18. To maintain product quality, store the Participating Product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The Promoter will not be liable for product deterioration due to improper storage.
19. Individual results may vary. Effectiveness of the product may depend on factors such as skin type and application frequency.
