Born with a head of vibrantly curly hair, Elizabeth never had the chance to embrace it as she grew up. She was taught that straight hair was a sign of elegance and sophistication, and curly hair - was not. So she would always straighten it, but never really feel like her true self.

After being constantly catcalled, Hannah decided to turn the camera on the antagonists so they could get a glimpse of what she was feeling. Her photo series went viral and received positive comments from women around the world.
Even when men came out and tried to justify catcalling, Hannah stood her ground and continued to turn the gaze on them. Her camera became her most powerful tool, as she managed to shift the power in these moments where she once felt vulnerable.
