Dove celebrates Real Beauty – casting the women of Malaysia for the next Dove campaign
For 60 years, Dove has celebrated real beauty. Not beauty that’s defined by your shape, age, or skin colour – we celebrate the kind of beauty that’s diverse, authentic and real. Which is why we’re celebrating Malaysia’s 60 years of Independence by offering you the chance to be cast in our next campaign. Just post your photo on Instagram with the hashtag #IamRealBeauty, and show the world how diverse Malaysian beauty really is.
Right now, if Malaysia had a profile picture it would look like this: Slim figure. Fair skin. Black hair – straight, of course. The accepted standard of beauty in our country is incredibly narrow – with over 800 islands, over 100 ethnicities, and millions of women, we want to celebrate all the unique and diverse ways there are to be beautiful. Join our campaign and together we can capture Malaysia in all its rich, incredible diversity. Every skin tone. Every hair type. Every age.
At Dove, we believe that beauty should be a source of confidence and not anxiety. It’s just you – as the best version of yourself – because looking and feeling your best makes you happier. This campaign is just one way we’re continuing our 60-year commitment to celebrate real beauty. To reaffirm our commitment, we made three vows in our Real Beauty Pledge™: to never use models in our campaigns, to always show women as they are, and to spread body confidence and self-esteem.

Terms and conditions: Participants may submit their photos on Instagram with #IamRealBeauty (with profile set as public) between 21st August to 1st October for a chance to be cast in the next Dove campaign. All decisions made by the Organizer are final. The Organizer will not entertain any request to appeal or review decisions made by the Participant.
